As a young child, I was fortunate to be born in Asheville, NC, and raised in Stamford, CT, where my incredible mother, Melba Louise Green,
introduced me to the wonders of the kitchen.
From an early age, I would eagerly assist my mother in the art of cooking—baking, cutting, and stirring alongside her. It was during these precious moments that I witnessed her pour an abundance of love into each and every dish she prepared.
Love, she would always say, is the secret ingredient that elevates a meal from good to truly exceptional.
My dear mother believed in giving her all, whether it was in the kitchen or in raising her children. She instilled in me the values of hard work, dedication, and never taking shortcuts. Her wisdom echoes in my mind to this day:
